I have many fond memories of Bart. Driving around Hollywood in his Packard was so fun, and hearing him write music in the middle of the night.. what a treat. I love him like a brother. The world is a better place for him having been in it and also poorer in his absence.....Michael Jenkins
For those who have not heard, Bart Bishop passed away late Sunday night/early Monday morning (oct 19). In his memory, I (his son, Graham Bishop) put together The Bart Bishop Memorial Fund and Project to help remember my dad, Bartley Graham Bishop - a person whose genuine optimism and relentless pursuit of creativity inspired all who were fortunate to have crossed paths with him.
The Bart Bishop Memorial Fund and Project will serve as a forum for people to share thoughts, words, pictures, and pieces of art somehow related to Bart. Donations to the Bart Bishop Memorial Fund will be used to pay for Bart's memorial services - all remaining funds will be donated, in Bart's name, to Green For All, a national non-profit focused on creating a green economy and green jobs for people in low-income communities.
